Frank Creese

Frank Creese, gentleman and techie extraordinaire was a multifaceted and passionate man. His first love, his family (wife, son and daughter), was followed VERY closely by his beloved pets. Frank did nothing in small measures, grabbing life with both hands. Obsessed with rock music, usually loudly played in his beloved BMW. Yet, he could be found relaxing with a good book and his cup of tea.
An adventure junkie, he spent much time and energy on motor racing, specifically MotoGP and F1 while boating and wake boarding with his son. He loved anything with an engine! On his passing, Motorsport SA acknowledged the significant contribution to the karting and circuit racing in the Western Cape, during the many years of his involvement.
Technology did not scare Frank. Anything with a mast or antennae to a Wi-Fi router, short wave broadcasting excited him. There was no problem that Frank could not fix and if it did give him resistance, he literally would not sleep until it was fixed. As the Manager of Cape Town Operations for Sentech he is remembered for going the extra-mile, leadership of his team and excellence in the maintenance of the transmitter facilities. Following his career at Sentech Frank was appointed the Chief Engineer at Magic 828, a local Cape Town radio station from 2012 until his passing in 2022.
Radio Cape Town is inspired by ordinary people living extraordinary lives. People who grab life with both hands, living and giving selflessly. Their legacy shapes and inspires all that Radio Cape Town stands for. This page intends to honour their legacy with deep admiration for their life’s work. May these LEGENDS live forever!
RIP Frank Creese. Rock on!
